We've just started on this section, so we don't have much content up yet. We have some information on package deals posted and will be adding more information very soon. If you sign up for our mailing list, you'll be notified when we add new content.
Walking Tours
We divide walking tours into two basic types:
- Self guided tours. There are some very good self guided tours of San Francisco available as books and available as MP3 files, which you can download to an MP3 player and use for a narrated, self guided tour.
- Guided tours. There are a wide variety of these available. Some are free; some are not.
Bike Tours
It is easy to rent bikes in San Francisco. The bike rental companies provide free maps with the basic tour options.
Motorized Tours
There are three basic kinds of 'motorized' tour:
- Segway Tours. There are guided tours given for groups of people on rental Segways. These rentals/tours are available both in San Francisco and across the bay in Sausalito.
- Go Cars. These are very small, three wheeled vehicles with a built in GPS system and audio tour that provide a guided drive around the city.
- Scoot Cars. Like the Go Cars, Scoot Cars are small, three wheeled vehicles that can be used for touring the city. Unlike Go Cars, Scoot Cars do not have GPS/Audio guidance.
Bus Tours
There are a variety of tours available on assorted vehicles. These are mostly bus tours but there are also double decker tour buses, Fire Trucks, faux cable cars and even amphibious vehicles.
Package Deals
